Refraction - painterly textiles 

Drawing inspiration from nostalgic motion-card memories of ‘90s childhood flipping static images to live, and the physical phenomena Refraction – referring to the bending of light through a transparent material – this series explores the blend of motion and still-life images in transparent organza textiles. Resulting in a dynamic interplay of images changes as viewers move around the artwork.  



I seek to evoke a sensory experience through my work, where images fluidly shift and transform, inviting the viewers into a world of ever-changing beauty – and perhaps an experience of the simple yet profound joy found in fleeting moments. 

The versatility of these textiles means that the artworks can be adapted to various contexts and scales, from large architectural installations to intimate interior decorations.
